Hobbies: Sylvain enjoys reading litterature and history books. His favourite litterature book is Les Misérables written byVictor Hugo whereas his favourite history books are Les Rois maudits written by Maurice Druon, La Part de l'autre written by Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt and Le Pendule de Foucault  written by Umberto Eco. With regard to music, Sylvain's favourite disk is "Symphony n°9" by Anton Dvorak.
He is also fond of stamps collecting and practises skiing.
Sylvain and I have a hobbie in common:mathematical games. He succeded in qualifying for the International Mathematical Games Championship.

Why is Sylvain the coach that I needed to meet?: At the moment, I intend to carry out a PhD and to work as a researcher. However I still do not know if I want to do basic research or research in a firm. When Sylvain left his engineering school "Ecole Centrale Paris", he did a PhD in material sciences in "Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne". Then he had the same questions as I have today. Thus he can give me some advice to help me to make my choice.

A few words about my coach: I should tell you how Sylvain is a great researcher and a great campus manager. But I think you may guess it... In fact, I would like to focus on his humaneness and understanding. He is a good listener and adviser. And what may be noticeable, he has no double-language and pass you his entousiasm and pleasure for research. Thank you so much Sylvain!
